This was drawn quite a while ago, but perhaps out of shame, I never posted it here. This sums up episode 11 of Fate/Stay Night, in which Saber squares off against Rider, though I took quite a few more liberties with the story than usual. At this "early" stage in the story, Saber kept her sword Excalibur invisible, lest her enemies recognize her as King Arthur (or as she's called in this series, "Arturia").

Rider's true identity is Medusa, the Gorgon of legend, hence her power to petrify her enemies. (Though I later found out that the reason she never petrifies enemy Servants like Saber is that...Servants are immune to it. D'oh!) Her codename comes from the fact that she has a Pegasus, which she summons by...stabbing herself in the neck and bleeding a whole lot. I'm serious. In the actual episode, she summons Pegasus, and she and her Master fly away, only to get annihilated one episode later by Excalibur. (Out of respect for Rider, I won't be making a comic from that episode.)

Rider's Master in this comic is Shinji Matou, a boy that Shirou goes to school with. Shinji is a nutcase and a total asshole, and far and away the most hated character in the series. Shinji isn't even Rider's real Master; he just used a magic book to wrest control of Rider from his adopted sister Sakura.
